Our Products

We are responsible for the creation, maintenance and production of a range of products which cover Scotland.

We offer a range of services and products to support the production of high quality statistics in Scotland. These include geographical directories and databases, digital boundaries and maps and more. Our geography customer service team are here to provide help and advice on all geography issues and respond to specialist requests.

Please note: we are not responsible for the creation, maintenance and publication of many of the boundary datasets which represent aspects of Scottish life. For example, the boundaries of Health Boards are the responsibility of the Scottish Government.

Scottish Postcode Directory
The Scottish Postcode Directory is made up of two key files, the Postcode Index and Postcode boundaries.

Scottish Address Directory
The Scottish Address Directory is a list of addresses where someone could live or work and holds additional information associated to the address, including council area, spatial co-ordinates and classification of type.

Settlements and Localities Dataset
Digital Boundaries that support the Population Estimates for Settlements and Localities.

Other National Records of Scotland Geographies Dataset
Digital Boundaries for Civil Parishes and Islands.

Census Datasets
Digital Boundaries, Indexes and Supporting information for 1991, 2001 and 2011 Censuses. 

Non-National Records of Scotland Geographies
Information regarding data outwith NRS Geography's remit.
