2011 Indexes

Revision to the Electoral Ward 2007 lookup table held in the 2011 Census Index. The names for 3 areas (codes S13002605, S13002606 and S13002672) have been updated to correct an anomaly with special characters.

Correction to the 2011 Indexes database. The OA to higher areas table has been updated to correct minor errors in the assignments of five OAs to two geographies. The five OAs and two geographies affected are:

Moved from Glasgow North East Community Health Partnership (CHP) sub-area to North Lanarkshire CHP sub-area.

Moved from Glasgow North East CHP sub-sector to North Lanarkshire CHP sub-sector.

Moved from Glasgow North East CHP sub-sector to North Lanarkshire CHP sub-sector.

Moved from Glasgow North East CHP sub-sector to North Lanarkshire CHP sub-sector.

Moved from Highlands and Islands Scottish Parliamentary Region (SPR) to West Scotland SPR.

The CHP sub-area assignment changes have been made to ensure this geography 'nests' exactly within CHP boundaries, which are coterminous with Council Area boundaries.
The SPR assignment change has been made to ensure the Scottish Parliamentary Constituencies 'nest' exactly within SPR boundaries.

Revision to 2011 boundaries and index due to an anomaly in the 2011 Census Output Area (OA) codes published on 15 August 2013 and removed the datasets from the NRS/GROS website (on 27 August). The anomaly meant that whilst all 2011 Census OA codes were unique, they did not always run in sequential order by council area. This caused users additional work and we decided to replace the current set of 2011 OA codes with new ones that would run sequentially within each council area.
