Scottish Address Directory (SAD)

The Scottish Address Directory is designed to be an all-inclusive NRS address product which utilises information held on a number of external data sources.

Uses of SAD

The SAD has been designed to be an easy to use directory with the address information, where possible, held in the recognised postal format.  By combining elements from its data sources it can be used as a cross-reference to other datasets, either for matching or verification purposes.  Users of SAD are encouraged to report any anomalies with it to NRS, as this will feed into the quality assurance programme.
