Background

The latest National Life Tables for Scotland publication. It shows trends regarding the average number of years people in Scotland will live beyond their current age by age and sex. Prior to the 2014-2016 estimates, the most recent life tables for Scotland were described in the Registrar General’s Annual Review in August. Beginning with the 2014-2016 figures, National Records of Scotland (NRS) produce a statistical bulletin for the national life tables in September.
