Life expectancy results for administrative areas within Scotland, 2002-2004 were published by the Registrar General for Scotland on 6 October 2005. This is the first publication dedicated to life expectancy and it is intended to be produced annually.

Note: On 27 July 2007 the Mid-year population estimates for 2003-2006 were revised for the 6 Council areas of Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Dundee City, Moray and Perth & Kinross. Subsequently, this publication has been revised using these estimates. More details on the 'Revised Mid-year Population Estimates 2003-2006' are available from this website.
