These pages provide links to assessments of the quality of the data, about the ethnicity of the deceased person, that are collected when a death is registered.

The quality of the data for 2012 to 2014 (published on 14 March 2017)
This report concluded that the data on the ethnicity of the deceased person for those years were not suitable for calculating reliable mortality rates for most ethnicities, and that National Records of Scotland (NRS) might be able to improve the quality of future data.
