Terms and conditions of supply

The UK Government Licencing Framework (National Archives website) provides an overview of the arrangements for licencing the use and re-use of public sector information in the public sector.

NRS Geography produces a number of products which include the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of other organisations and users should be aware of third party rights and any need for licences. In these cases the appropriate attribution/copyright statements should be used.

The following licences are required for each category of product issued by NRS Geography complete with the appropriate attribution/copyright statement:

NRS digital boundaries (Census geographies, Civil Parishes, Islands, Postcode Districts and Sectors)

Digital boundary products and reference maps (with the exception of Scottish Postcode Directory - postcode boundaries and grid references) are supplied under the Open Government Licence (National Archives website) and Ordnance Survey OpenData Licence (Ordnance Survey website). The following copyright statements must be used when reproducing or using this material:

Free access to these datasets are restricted to members of the Public Sector Geospatial Agreement (PGSA) (Ordnance Survey website).

Access to these datasets are being made available for your personal, non-commercial use under the terms of the INSPIRE End User Licence (Ordnance Survey website) because it includes Ordnance Survey (OS) Licensed data.

By viewing and or downloading these datasets you will have been deemed to have accepted the terms of this licence. You may not sub-license, distribute, sell or otherwise make available any part of these datasets to third parties (including others within your business), except where expressly authorised in writing by us (the Licensor) and OS (for example, by having a valid licence for the data used in the creation of this dataset(s)).
