Changing lives with data

On 20 March, National Records of Scotland (NRS) held an event as part of ‘Designing with Data’,  a series of Data Festival 2017 Fringe events.

Event overview
Data can change lives! Huge amounts of data are made freely available by government and other organisations across Scotland. This event aimed to help people find out what is available, how it is used, and how to use it to provide insights which could change lives!

Presentations
The presentations from this event are available in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF). Maximum file size is 7.71 Mb.

Interactive session

  • Between the presentations, there was an interactive session. A number of stalls were set up, demonstrating data published by different parts of the government in Scotland and some other organisations. There was the opportunity to see what is available, ask questions, and discuss ideas or problems.
