2022 Census Indexes

The 2022 Census Index contains two index tables (Postcode to Output Area, and Output Area to Higher Area) and higher area look-ups which are for use with the 2022 Census.

Output Area 2022 to Community Council (CSV format)
Release – September 2024
This file provides a look-up between the 2022 Output Area code and the Community Council boundaries established by local authorities. The file also contains an information note on the community council boundaries used.

Postcode 2022 Usual Resident Population (CSV format)
Release - August 2024
This lookup contains the usual resident population for each 2022 postcode

Output Area 2022 Total Population (CSV format)
Release - May 2024
This look up contains the usual resident population for each 2022 Output Area

Output Area 2022 to UK Parliamentary Constituency 2024 (CSV format)
Release – May 2024
This file provides a look-up between the 2022 Output Area code and the pre-operative UK Parliamentary Constituencies 2024. The file also contains a code and name look-up for these areas and an information note.
