Plan of lands for the New Town of Edinburgh, 1766

In 1766 a competition to plan the New Town of Edinburgh was launched. Copies of this ground plan by John Laurie, showing Edinburgh’s property on the North Side of the town intended to be rented out for building, was issued to entrants.
